Power Transformer - Can you use separate tap for screens?

Hi.

That's a really old topic, but is the closest one i found about my question.

I attached a picture where i think i understand what you talk about make a capacitator input ad a choke input from same secondary taps.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I know is odd but get same problems after fried some tubes whilst the mains dropped off and comes is seconds back. This was my simple way to solve the problem. Plates 490V screens 330V. The relay I had on hand comute at 400V and get off at 375V around. The current draw by circuit is 8.75mA which may be considered pretty high but I used the relay had on hand, some 4 mA may be used as well...Still I protected my screens with fast fusible on each side.
The version in second pic is not usable The relay must be voltage controlled.
