why does the 10R resistor R1 discolor?brownies is there problem with my nmos 200-to247?the amp still working but noticed the color both channel the left & right amp R1 same discolor

It should not discolour at all, so there could be something wrong with the amp. Have you measured the resistor and confirmed it is 10 ohm?

it happened to me before,burned resistor due to high current passing
can i use higher watts same resistance?
This is my nmos200 to220 irf840 amplifier.Working hard in various testing condition for 2 months.No problem so far.Thank`s quasi,great amp.

If available you can replace MJE340/350 with 2SD669 / 649 or similar, MJE is old and slow

Insulated(jumper) wire from main capacitor ground to 10ohms resistor (R2) is missing.
