I hope Nikon can beat this price!
I saw already an offering for 44 USD
@Patrick I guess it could fit ;-), although the higher price might make it not interesting for everybody ....

I am not going to stop you, but that large mounting flange of the Furutech XLR will look awful with the small rear panel.
I'll only check space for components other than baseline when you have made up your mind.

4 +1 people have not sent their payments for heat sinks and case.
John, could you kindly contact them by email etc. to get a YES or No.
No problem either way, but we need to confirm quantities now.
Done 🙂
Partsconnexion is has a 20%off sale running until july31
Furutech AC Inlet Connectors
FI-03(R) $20.73USD
FI-03(G) $15.84
IMO the Furutech FI-03 IEC inlet with fuse-holder is indeed a better choice than the Furutech FI-09/FI-10 IEC (no fuse), if the case architecture allow for itAny comments on the Furutech FI-03 IEC outlet with fuse included ?
(less holes, less wires, shorter connections, less component to source etc.). Would get my vote.
Of course we need the case engineer to give us the OK to make it a real candidate.
Cheers,
Nic
P.S. Did anybody care to figure out what the difference between the FI-09 and FI-10 inlets is? The price (and quality?) is very different and I'm wondering which one Nikon got a quote for.
Total height inside the rear bracket is 133mm.
Allow 40mm for the AUS PSU PCB, 60mm for the AUX PSU Tx, you have 33mm left.
So in theory FI-03 will just fit, but no space left.

it looks like this unit is only 29 mm deep, when mounted on the outside no more then 24 ...
To me it looks like a very good choice (at least best compromise)

Sorry, I didn't read the fine print. Furutech products are excluded from the sale.
Would it be safe to assume that everybody who has voted for the Furutech FI-10 would actually prefer the FI-03 version with incorporated fuse-holder?
As EUVL kindly put it: gentlemen, please express your opinions!

I have updated the list accordingly.

I hope we will get Patricks blessing for this choice.

Looking at the furutech datasheets:
FI-10 Brass conductor
FI-09 Copper conductor
FI-03 Copper alloy conductor
Interestingly, the copper alloy FI-03, which contains an integrated fuse holder, is less expensive than the brass FI-10. Looks like the best deal of the three if price is a consideration.

Personally, l like the look of the F1-10 and don’t mind a separate fuse holder.
The F1-10 screw on connectors look very chunky and solid, I think that is why there’s a cost difference seen.
