What a deal!!!!!!

I came home with the find of the century today 😎 I purchased a used "excellant condition" Draper Motorized screen, it's the Envoy model in 10 ft by 10 ft. I scored this BIG beauty at an office furniture liquidation warehouse.....this is the cool part...$200.00 Cdn. I hope to get some help in this weekend to put it up...weighs about 125 or so pounds...arrgghhh. Will post pics when it's on the ceiling where it belongs.

That movie is Ghost World, the song is the opening to the movie. That's the movie that was in my DVD player when I turned it on that night.

The screen isnt DIY. I don't really consider my project DIY cause I just bought all the stuff and threw it on top of eachother. The screen is in the 2.35:1 position, it has knobs with notches to adjust it to 4:3, 16:9, 2.35:1, and 1:1. I usually have it in 2.35:1, which is why in my video, part of the projection is off the screen. The specs are:

3M 9700 OHP (4300 lumens with the zoom lens)
Sharp QA1650 TFT LCD Panel
DaLite 70x70 Adjustable Projection Screen

Total cost was about $350. The OHP was brand new at $100 plus shipping, the panel was $140 plus shipping... I got the screen from a magazine. They were selling generic 70x70 screens that weren't adjustable for $79, I had ordered one, but they ran out of stock and sent me the DaLite in place of the generic one. I've see this DaLite go for about $140 on eBay.

I'm going to capture some more video tonight, I'll have it up tomorrow morning.

The giver, i never heard of ghost world...but that intro song is pretty catchy...lol you saw a 70x70 screen for 79$! i'd like to know what magazines your reading lol
ok a bit of measurements here.. Zardoz has a 10x8 screen which is 10 across and 8 feet tall so that 70x70 is...wel im thinking that its in inches...

YWH, your pic doesnt work, and i've been observing your site for a LONG time now and im still confused as how you RETROFITTED you OHP, can u help me please!!!??? i have a BIG OHP i think there is enough space for even a 400 watter...
please tell me what you think YWH

i agree and im sorry for posting off topic but i find it uneccesary for him to put the blame on me. i posted off topic once before he warned me and i respectfully stoped and then some one posted soemthing asking me a question and i answered and that how it got this far...but i didnt start the second round of off topic discussion. and again i apologize.maybe some one should post a new thread and copy the info here. and i will DEFINITELY not post there. if i do it will be posting pix.
