Roger Moore made the La Pavoni famous.
I have this picture framed on the wall, right behind my own Europiccola.

With the scene of James driving onto the beach in the Esprit, the one thing I could never accept was him throwing the fish out the window.
Isn't the car supposed to be, you know, water tight ?
It spoils the whole idea for me.

I can't help then but think of the Mad Magazine parodies in which he was called 'Gnaws".

The odd thing is, when he met his girlfriend (when she helped him with the pulley), I could have sworn that when she smiled, that she had braces, but it was repeated a few days ago, and she didn't.

Which is quite amusing - given how poor a shot and process he managed on the Europiccola. 😀Roger Moore made the La Pavoni famous.
I'll admit it took me almost years to really get the technique and feel for the La Pavoni lever - most if not all pump and semi auto's are much more forgiving to work with. But when you get it right, it's imo second to none.

Got another of those free AppleTV+ trials recently, and am quite enjoying binging Silo; some quite amazing world building there.

^^ If you like the series, you might want to try the books. There are three in the series and I think the TV show corresponds to the first book.
Silo is a great watch. Now waiting for season 3... and am quite enjoying binging Silo; some quite amazing world building there.
