Let's say that the idiot is undoubtedly the (alleged) father because one does not let a child play with a kite near potential dangers and even less near a road where any type of vehicle could pass.
Or both were in the flow of an intense happiness in a beloved family, at a point that the child and the father have forgot everthing else...
