Thank you and not to worry soundchaser, I'm not going anywhere. Since I was about 20, I took that day off to watch football, drink beer and cook. Almost always it has been turkey, beer and a bunch of other food that are good at this time of year. Those look yummy Cal! Safe travels.
Don't forget that we are talking about people who'd light up their charcoal BBQ inside the house to stay warm during a power outage. 🙂Gee, ya think?

She should. It's nonother than the late Queen Elisabeth II while serving her King and country during WW II.that young woman looks familiar.
I would like to make an addition to my hell of small annoyances - whenever you descend stairs in the dark, or carrying a large box, you find someone has left something on the stairs. Why do people do that, WHY!
This is one of the most annoying/dangerous things my wife is doing all the time!would like to make an addition to my hell of small annoyances - whenever you descend stairs in the dark, or carrying a large box, you find someone has left something on the stairs. Why do people do that, WHY!

We (in this city) had two separate instances of that in the winter just gone where people died. I'd never heard of anyone doing it before. However, they were recent immigrants from places that have even less of a winter than us, so were not used to household heating I suppose.
I saw this and spontaneously had to giggle. Then, I went into this shop to both innocently looking and seriously asking wheter the price tag was meant for the pair, or for the single unit. The vendor sitting behind the desk first browsed his files for some time, did not find the answer even after two minutes of viguorous searching, then stood up, went to the boss at the back office, and finally came back to tell me it was the pair's price. Thank you for the info, much appreciated. And so I had my daily dose of silly fun. And the vendor had his daily excercise. Best of all: Both were served for free.

Found at the Costco in DC. This is not what we are serving for Thanksgiving.
After we were married, and because he didn't drink alcohol, my father in law used to re-gift expensive cognac he was given as a gift. I really don't like the taste and usually would give the bottle away.Found at the Costco in DC. This is not what we are serving for Thanksgiving.
