UMIK-1 and DATS are what I use
Ok thanks; that is very reassuring. Other posts in this thread earlier had me thinking I had the wrong gear to even attempt this.
I think starting out I would be better off going with a full range driver and a larger bass driver and doing the WAW/FAST kind of build. I like the look of the large driver on top and smaller driver under it and a port. Looks great.
Do the two drivers have to have matching impedance (I gather not) or is it just easier to build a crossover if they already match? I was looking at two drivers at 8ohm but if it's just as easy to use an 8ohm and 4ohm together (such as the bigger driver being 4ohm) it opens up selection.
The previous images with the full range and the RSS225 looks great. I see others have made this without doing the transmission line approach? Could a simple bass reflex approach work ok with this too?
Very best,
No one is saying it can't be done. However it's beneficial to inform others who may be considering crossover work in particular to avoid buying USB based microphones for the reasons given.had me thinking I had the wrong gear to even attempt this.
