After long discussions exploring many options, including distribution from Canada and Ireland, we come to the following.
It is as fair as we can offer both to EU subscribers elsewhere.
A pair of decent LT3045/3094 in 78xx/79xx format is offered commercially for ~40USD + postage outside EU/US.
Not all of them come with current limit, and none with AD recommended components.
There are some from China offered below component costs from China, which I persoanylly certainly would not risk.
The smallest we have seen (from Aliexpress) is 13x20mm using DFN package, and no guide ring around Rset and Cset.
And not all TO220 heatsinks will fit 13mm width.
The actual cost of all components from Mouser for a pair of regulators come to 28€ including import duties.
Service charge varies with countries.
These include I grade (not E grade) regulators, Murata GJ8 MLCCs, and Susumu 8085 0.5% resistors.
So we think it is a fair offer for EU subscribers for 40€ a pair + postage from Ireland, which is about 10€.
Alternatively we can offer you a pair of PCBs only for 10€ + postage.
The young lady who does the packing only gets 2€ for the donkey work.
In both cases, Fran will include his usually high-standard documentation for the build.
And he will build a pair himself to be 100% sure, before sending to anyone.
For outside EU, it does not make sense for us to buy parts from Mouser, pay EU tax, and ship back to you.
So we shall offer PCB pairs at the same price as EU subscribers. Postage is also the same.
Of course if you do not want to order from Mouser yourself, we can also include the parts at the same price.
So please update the list again and indicate revised quantities, country and option.
