On the Aleph 3 and 4 the base of ZTX450/MPSA18 is connected to the R26/R113 (bias setting resistor) and C6/C103 220µF caps....But according to the Aleph 5 schemaic it isnt?...(also Mark finnis layout is made out that way).....

Using the Aleph 5 nomenclature:
There is a node that includes the base of the MPSA18/ZTX450, R19, R20, and C10.

One of the Alephs and I do believe it is the Aleph 5 operates very differently to the other Alephs. I asked Papa about this and he said it was intentionally made to operate differently, I think for better bass control from memory.
If you post the circuits it would be far easier for people to comment specifically though.
