Hey All,
I trying to design a ported encloser for my audiobahn 1006t sub the specs recommend are as follow:
Air Space (cu/ft) = 1.4
Port size = 3" x 6.75
Port Vel: = 24.19
-3db Hz = 30
Tune Freq. (Hz) = 39
Sub (Disp cu/ft) = 0.21
Port (Disp cu/ft) = 0.024
Total Volume (cu/ft) = 1.5
Now, this is the deminsion of my box design: using 3/4 MDF
Height = 20"
Width = 19"
Depth 1 = 8.5"
Depth 2 = 12"
Total = 1.639 cu/ft
I used http://www.bcae1.com/spboxnew2.htm to input all the values...but Im still confused as to where the port goes, does it has to be a 3" hole ...6.75 deep? and where? ...after putting all the values in it came back with a net volume of 1.4(cu/ft) just what the manual recommends for the sub.
Can someone pls help me out?.....Thanks to all

So I just grab a 3" pipe and cut it 6.75" long and insert it anywher in the box?
Thanks for your help
Thanks for your help
Pretty much,
if you place it too close to side walls the tuning will be affected.
Line the cabinet with damping, keep the airspace
around the end of the port clear of damping material.
🙂 sreten.
