Thanks for the link! Much better info than I was able to turn up after spending aobut 45 minutes using google.
Just for grins we are going to try and null out just the first resonance. This will allow the sub to be used up to 80 hz or so. Fine for the entended use.
We would like to keep the current design (not saying that there won't be new projects in the future) as it is very easy to transport and does not take up much room. The last connection between the port and the pipe fitting on the box is not glued so when time comes to move the sub, you lift the box off the port and have 2 easy to carry pieces. Besides, it is a unique design that will be great fun for a teenager to show off to his friends.

The box is actually 9 Litres and the port came out to about 6 Litres.
