Hi All
This amp uses two of the PA 0016 voltage amps, one channel has bad distorsion,
If i switch IC PA 0016 from the channel that is working the bad channel isworking fine with no distorsion,
I have replaced the bad channels with new PA 0016 IC but it is not working so i suspect that the PA 0016 i hve bought from ebay is fake has someone had similat problems or is there any mods I am sure if i could find a NOS PA0016 from the eighties it should work or am i missing something here
Any hints or info greatfully received

From what I'm aware, that chip controls the bias.
I know many Pioneers back then that had bypass them or maybe used transistors instead.
Check out the A333 and A335. They didn't use the PA0..chip yet the better models did.
You're probably better off buying another amp with the chips working. I do think those will be fakes that you bought.
