Plenty of vertical mount ones but horizintal mounts are thin on the ground.Where did you find your capacitor clamp? Having trouble sourcing one this big.
I may just go the zip tie route that overs have used.
Trip to Home Depot first though as stuff often turns up there.
Sorry, Just noticed this question. I got it at mouser
Part number 539-VR10A. It's a vertical clamp. I just bent the tabs. It was also actually to big, so I redrilled a hole for the clamp screw.

I just was not happy with the first chassis for this amp, it did not do it justice.
Hi trooper,
really nice work! How did you mount the PCB? I hope to learn for my build.
Michael

Here's mine with Trooper's first chassis!! I like Troopers first chassis very much.

Pcb mounting
Zimmer64 I've been using these to mount the board

You should be abil to get them at your local hardware store.
Thanks again Bob! I can't wait to see the mono blocks!

KT150s? How do you like them?
Love 'em! Boywonder is spot on, a Jetson Amp 🙂
Thank you, its a sheet of 4mm thick ally folded at the front and back.
Underneath is partitioned by ally angle and long thin sheets to give some resistance to sagging.
Most of the strength comes from the wooden sides which bolt to the main ally folded plate.

Spalted beech although I haven't done a good job with the finish. They've a coat of clear finishing oil and then some wax.

KT150s yes I like the sound VERY much, I was just going to take a listen to them for a few days and they've been in ever since I bought them, month and half or so.... I'm going to build another with those output tubes in mind, beef things up some more add more voltage and no electrolytics in the power supply. They replaced GL KT88s and sound better to my ears with VERY efficient horn loaded speakers with BIG 15" woofers...
Cheers,
Bob
First Time Tube Amp Build
This is the first amp I have built. Still needs to have motor run cap added, knob and power switch added. Sounded great but I may have a bad tube. Kinda bummed but should have replacements next week.

IdaCap: Interesting construction (no sockets visible). Are the top surfaces of your tube sockets below the top panel?
They sit flush with the top plate. The noval socket is recessed a little but raised off the board and the tube fits nice enough to cover the hole. I will addlore pics when I get the time.

Could someone please tell me why my pic does not show up?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

NNote that you should resize the images before uploading to a picture sharing site. Better is to attach them to the post. This can be done by going into the advanced editor.
