Grommets or other materials under compression often need a bolt and captive nut like a nyloc nut, as they can't be locked in place.
I'm building a 300B headphone amp. With speakers suspended over your ears, the slightest in microphonic noise is annoying, IME.
Anyhow I'm starting to think that simple Sorbothane grommets and/or washers will do the trick. Is there a generic name for Sorbothane so that I could shop on McMaster Carr or the like?
