Hi,
sounds wonderful, much better than my old Aleph-X. A little on the „sweet“ side, but very fine soundstage with the Viawave ribbons. You can listen for hours.
Only downside in the actual time is a power consumption of 350W per Channel 😱
Actual I have annother project, a complementary X-Amp with „conventional“ Mosfet A/AB output stage and K170/J74 folded cascode input/VAS stage. In comparion the amps sound quite different - some friends prefer the Aleph-JX, some the other amp because of more resolution. Means, in comparison the Aleph-JX perhaps lacks a little bit on the high end. But one friend reported the Aleph-JX is getting better (also) in this regard when the XLR input is used.
For me, I like both, depending on music and mood…
Edit: Lacking resolution is probably wrong, there is nothing missing with the Aleph-JX. The difference more lies in the dynamics of the amps. The Aleph-JX is sweeter, but a little less dynamic sounding.
Regards, J-C

On the verge of rearranging my setup soon with changing around chassis, amps, parts, etc… I am having a good listening session with my F5 and ACP+. Lovely, detailed, lush sound. The classic F5 still amazes me. Viva la Eff Cinq!

May I share my beast. Hope it is not too late to make Aleph amp nowadays. 🤣 Just finished building Aleph 2, they are all mono block. Take me almost 2 years to be done.
It have 1.2kV tranny feed to 4x130000uf arrange in CRC filtering power supply. the main schematic follow the service manual but I rise up the bias a bit from original since I found the heatsink is not hot enough. 😆
They run well with temp around 55 degree C at the heatsink.
They sing wonderfully, No need to explain how is the sonic character of Aleph amp, thought 😉
Thank you papa Pass for his contribution of all time best amplifier schematic.

You are right. the bolt is isolated by phenolic washer, to prevent transformer short turn.Holy mother of...... That is som fantastic chassis. Very nice build. No cuting corners there 🙂 But i do hope that the transformer bolt is isolated from the bracket.
May I share my beast.
Wow. Thats a Very Far off the charts insane build. In a good way. 🙂👍
