Very nice! Damn impressive. All these marvellous casings made me wondering: "How am I going to get away from those prefabricated standard 19 inch black colored casings?" Wish I have access to all those machinery for metal or wood working.......
You don't need sophisticated tools... my amp is all handmade
you need only wood, a pencil and a good saw.... (and a lot of training...)

G.R.E.A.T. job!
you should be drooling by now...
I am just wondering what kind of power does it have. The sinks are so so small.
I guess it would be also very kewl with some lamps like zen lite.
great job again!

It will be the best looking amp in the site!
(I say it with envy, since I have my SOZ there)

most of the work is designing the case.... then you need only a beutiful piece of wood, a saw with small teeth, sandpaper, glue... a lot of time an a good experience (the most important thing)...

The wood is mahogany (very easy to use), for the finishing i use sandpaper from 220 to 350-400, then simply french polish (a very long operation) for a very good finish.....

sorry pedro, i don't read correctly your question.... (my english is very bad...)
i use a common french polish (i think is the right translation, is a kind of resin with alchool), after 5-8 passes the wood is perfectly finished, you don't need to polish it...

no, u have to sand the wood starting with the 220 and finishing with the 350, obtaining a very very uniform surface.... then u can use the french polish...
here you can find something about french polish( http://www.rustins.co.uk/Frep.html ). Is the same finish of the old furniture....
