OK, thank you so much, I did try doing it that way but it seemed very reluctant to come out and I was afraid I might be doing something wrong. Now you've said that, I'll try jiggling with more confidence! (And don't worry, I won't blame you if it ends in tears...)

I'm working on a Philips CD650.
Does anyone have any of these spare parts available?

MAB8441P/T082 4822 209 11416
MAB8461P/W079 4822 209 72047

Also, what exactly needs to be done to replace the existing CDM2/10 laser transport with a CDM4 unit?

Where are these parts located on main PCB or laser?
