Perfect Reflector

Hello Everyone,
I believe I have found the perfect reflector. I will post pictures soon, and if anyone is interested, I will start selling them. I would like to get some feedback on exactly the absolute best position to have the bulb in a spherical reflector. I am using Alan's 250W Double ended MH bulb, and the reflector is just about the same size as the bulb. Please give me your opinions on where the bulb should be placed in a spherical reflector.

Thank you,
Steve

Video Freak and Forum,
I will post pictures soon. The past few days I have been side-lined with a diy projector injury. !!!!---WARNING---!!!! Double Ended 250W MH Bulbs will BURN your eyeballs! It was a very painful lesson I learned. Please wear eye protection when working with these bulbs. Just a little public service announcement. Now back to business.... I didnt want to cut into the sides or the reflector, so I just mounted the bulb just above the rim of the reflector, and seems to act more as a flood light, rather than a spot light. Next I think I might cut some slots in the side of the reflector and see what kind of results I can get.

Pictures will be posted soon,

Steve

P.S. All discharge lamps (most use quartz glass due to high temp) emit UV - it can burn your eyes(but probably only hi-power ones like 575 HMI), so UV filter (ordinary glass works fairly well) is nessecary. Learned that by accident - used to work with some pro lighting fixtures, with 575W HMI lamps - with opened enclosure and realised that smthng isnt right with my eyesight after looking at them, some time after I read bout that on internet...

what the heck is it though?

What the heck is that little thing though (besides a reflector) What did it come from?

Looks like the kind of thing that maybe would get passed around in church to put money in. Did you just take off your sock, pour the money in and pass the sock, keep the bowl?

ice-cream spoons, ice-cream bowls... man, who would have thought that building a projector had so much to do with dairy products.... maybe throw some sprinkles to produce better colors? maybe pour some chocolate to improve black levels.

lol, good find...
