I'm not sure how moOde handles Spotify. PeppyMeter should work fine for a software which is using ALSA in a regular way.
It looks like Spotify is not that "regular way". I remember people complaining about issues in the PeppyMeter and Spotify for Volumio and Roon players as well.
Maybe our ALSA expert @phofman can point out what Spotify is doing wrong with ALSA?

Hi rpi, hi phofman,
Nice to hear aboot you.
Peppymeter is correctly running. The issue is linked to how handle the auto start of the Peppymeter in the moode environment: this is the reason I have asked to follow the problem in the moode Forum.
I think and hope that the issue has been solved.
Best regards and thanks,
Francesco

Hi P.Hofman, to answer your question. In moOde player Spotify (plugin) is switched ON/OFF in the Renderer section of the settings. Thats what I mend.
So basically Peppymeter is working in automatic mode well under Webradio but not under Spotify.
Similar issues are happening under Volumio as well.

My second issue is that I need to find the right file to add the line to turn the mouse orientation. I can turn the HDMI display but when I add the mouse turn it is ignored. from a command line input the same command is working so I believe i havned added the command in the right location.
