I have the 8 ohm paper ones, I guess I could sell them, maybe 2 fiber glass ones, but I'm not sure I want to sell those even more than the paper ones.
is this place legit? They seem to have much of the Peerless product line.

I'm posting this so that others can avoid any purchases from this company. Summary: Once I sent them money I never heard from them again.
This is a company that is supposedly located in Hong Kong. The have a very extensive web site. Looks legit, and so I thought it was.
I placed an RFQ via the web site's form, and got a reply email from a Mr Andy Lee with an official looking signature bearing the company logo. I explained what I wanted to order (some NLA Peerless drivers) and the quantity. He asked me for some information and then sent me a proforma invoice, with instructions on how to...

That site is almost certainly a scam site. It has been in existence for years but you can't find one mention on any tech forum where someone successfully received goods from them. Given that they purport to stock so many electronic items, there is no way the name wouldn't have come up. And the prices are just silly cheap.
That said, I hope you get them!
Does anyone here know why they can't be bought? I mean, what makes these only available in bulk - I thought they were fairly popular. If we ordered 2,000 from Parts Express, do they then order them from Peerless who then ramps up production?

I haven’t ordered yet, yesterday I selected a quantity of 2 and got a certain price (about $24 excluding shipping) and once I moved forward to proceed with payment the price changed to about $35 excluding shipping. This was too odd so I didn’t finalize the purchase. Sounds like a scam.

Moving forward…new price…

I wrote to Digikey and below is their answer;Does anyone here know why they can't be bought? I mean, what makes these only available in bulk - I thought they were fairly popular. If we ordered 2,000 from Parts Express, do they then order them from Peerless who then ramps up production?
"This product is not kept in stock at DigiKey. The lead time shown will apply to the manufacturer’s shipment to DigiKey. Upon receiving the product, DigiKey will ship to fill open orders."
The supplier has a minimu quantity buy of 2016 pieces, since we do not stock this product, we need to sell with the same minimum as we do not have storage for what ever is not purchased.
I am sorry but we cannot sell in lesser quantity.“
The whole word has moved to smaller speakers.
Since about 1998 is my best guess (but perhaps earlier). It all probably started with Aurasound's wildly successfully "twoofers"
And the manufacturers have to supply what the market (business to business)
You might be successful if you start a Group Buy, like this one: DFM2535 compression driver group buy

Yes, Peerless has basically pulled out of the DIY market. Parts Express and Digikey still have some old stock in inventory, but most of the drivers available with a minimum order quantity (MOQ). Its a real bummer because there are many really good/popular drivers that are basically no longer available (NLA).
