Supposedly there's a few drivers in there I guess and everything in them works, so do I haaaaaave to remove the driver? Or can I just put new speakers in? Like idk, I'm a noob at this rn, so I'm trying to cover all my angels, this box has the factory tar on it, and I really would rather keep it like that, the only thing that's been removed is the 2 4 inch mids, and the ribbon replacement I did.
Ahh, ok, they have sat for at least 15 years so like it is prolly best, I threw ribbons in and ran them.
But your correct.
And the terminal as a wire with the male female flat crimper end on it from factory, I know that much.
But I do wana find out what's driving my speakers I'm getting interested in this now lol

Well, it's too late for that now but I'm still intrigued so I Wana take them apart and share but I'm still a lil hesitant to take all these speakers out. And the tweeter is huge and intimidating lol.
Can you tell me what would be the main issues that would arise from an old speaker? They have been inside for the past 20 years in my room so like idk.
If not thats fine too,
Also what would I be testing for when I remove said drivers? Do I need an external setup to test? Or is it just a meter?

To keep it simple for a novice, I would measure each cone driver for dc resistance, push the cone lightly on the dustcap/cone to ensure normal movement without any scratchy noises, inspect the rubber/foam surround for cracks or disintegration signs, check that wire contact with driver terminal and crossover board is solid/clean, measure crossover parts with RLC meter or capable multimeter (capacitors, inductors, resistors, fuses) for their nominal values, reflow each solder point, check internal wires condition.
Leave the intimidating parts alone.

Ok, sounds way better . Tweeters work so they just staying i just made new ribbons i dont wana play with them again, and they are all tared in there, I have a small tear In the one woofer not big but I Wana replace the rubber foam whatever. So I'll start with that one and go from there.
Do you have a good way to remove that tar **** or what it actually is? I remember scapring it off for a while when I was a kid to yank the peerless in the 1st place hating life the whole time lol.

There's one big flat head screw in the middle of the back of the speaker enclosure, I'm goma take a guess that if I pull the one 8 inch sealed sub I could prolly ger right to these drivers, but not sure
I'm american, but got German ancestors a couple cousins still there, idk where tho it's a bit distant,

No doubt, I will I'm not in much of a rush to get this done, like I kinda want the old speakers, but if I do get them, I'll have to rebuild them, so the new ones would be a good for the meantime but if I rip them apart to play with them I loose my speakers for a bit, and that would be a total drag.
Also the entire box is filled with like a cotton, it's gona be an entire btch lol
But as you said, keep calm I've held these for 20 years now and they still fine like need minor things, but I'm very happy with the sound mostly bc I haven't heard nothing like that in my house in a while.
I'm here for the journey my dude. I got a few projects I'll need help with lol
