Pedja Rogic 1541A DAC Custom-Wound Transformer European Union Group Purchase

I'm iterested, but i live in Norway which is not a EU country :h_ache:

I would prefer if someone could send it to me privatly, since it would add aprox. 16£ in vat and cutoms charge to send it from a company!
If this is possible, i'll take the 10'th 🙂

Update.........

Hi,

I just got this reply from Antrim. I did alter the secondary out positions to match the PCB (so secondaries weren't crossing etc).

I am awaiting the updated price from Antrim and, if I get it tonight, I'll post. Otherwise, please bear with me until I can get to a machine with internet access.

Here's what I wrote:

Secondary Windings:
Amendments to secondary positions to suit PCB – ratings unchanged.

0-18V @ 1.5A rms (red-yellow @ 3 o/c)
0-18V @ 1.5A rms (blue-grey @ 3 o/c)
0-9V @ 2A rms (violet-violet @ 3 o/c)
0-9V @ 1.5A rms (green-violet @ 6 o/c)
0-9V @ 1.5A rms (orange-pink @ 6 o/c)
0-9V @ 1A rms (red-yellow @ 6 o/c)
0-22V @ 2A rms (green-green @ 6 o/c)
0-9V @ 1A rms (blue-grey @ 9 o/c)

No connectors or flexible leads required, thank you.

Please confirm quotation is extant. Will there be an extra cost to ship to Germany (one unit, 2 units, one unit), Netherlands (2 units) and Norway (one unit)? Also, one UK order is for 2 units). Will you be able to supply the Norway unit ex-VAT? Many thanks. Jon Clancy

Jon,

Thank you for your order, I am currently sourcing posting to Europe, the best way is with royal mail I just need to get prices.

I have attached an updated quotation which has taken into account you desired leadout positions.

Terry our design engineer asked me to point out:

Please note that as the two 9V @ 1A secondaries now exit at different positions they can no longer be bifilar wound, therefore these secondaries now count as two windings rather than a split winding which means that the prices have increased.

Also note that I have swapped the colour codes for the two 2A secondaries to avoid green leads from two separate secondaries from exiting at the same postion.

IF you are still OK with this price drop me a quick line and will get them in production,

Thanks

Jon 🙂

Update.......

Hi all,

I have just spoken with Antrim.

New price because I moved the secondaries around is 37.18 plus shipping plus VAT.

Noted that the Germany orders will go to Michi124. Antrim will commence production and will give me a call when the trafos are almost ready. The will ship then invoice me. I intend to pay on CC and will then ask for payment from you guys. More details will be added to the WIKI. I'll close it this weekend.

All for now - update Thursday evening if I have any more info.....

Cheers

Jon :smash:

I've been a bit busy recently, but glad to see Jon has made such good progress.

I've added myself to the WIKI.

I've had a quick look at the thread and WIKI but can't see how you want payment. Don't worry replying if it's in there somewhere, I'll dig it out when I get more time.

Jon - I owe you :drink: for all the effort you've put in (and lack of it from my part).

Dave

No probs, Dave.

Payment will be by direct transfer if in the UK. I can do PayPal for those outside orders. In fact, am happy with any method really, as long as my costs are covered.......

I'll give Antrim a shout to let them know the numbers will be frozen on Tuesday.

If you know of anyone who needs one of thse trafos, pse get them to email me, post here, or better, update the WIKI with their order.

Cheers

Jon 😀

Yes, I've built one but using temporary seperate transformers.
I had no problems at all and I'm very pleased with the performance😉
The sound improves alot after the BG caps have had a good few days burn in.
If your struggling to find a supplier of the TDA1541A's its worth keeping your eye open for a cheap cdp that uses these chips.
There is no replacements for this dac

Have a look for the old Philips cd players, theres a lot of different old cdp's that use the TDA1541A, you can just take it out and use it in the dac

Well I still need a case, mine is strapped to a piece of wood😀 as soon as I get a case sorted I'll post some pictures
