Hi Al,
Thanks for your reply. Actually I am planning to 52V DC, so I ordered 4700uF, 63v capacitors. I am fine even if the finished board height is little high also. I am planning to use MJL3281/MJL1302 for outputs and MJE15030/MJ15031 drivers. Would it just be fine if I replace just MPSA18 with 2n5551 in SymAsym5.3 schematics to take care of increased supply voltage?
Thanks,
Routhun

Hi,
AAK is my second diy projet, sym5.3 original was the first one ! (works perfectly with home made boards) so i'm newbie in electronics.. (but all was resume on one internet page..and informations easy to find.)
Now, i would have a little more power, so i think to use 2X30V transfos. I've find Nuvotem 2X30V (full load) 160VA 2,7A. (http://www.radiospares.fr/composants-electroniques-fr/1/index4084.htm) . I'll buy 2 and make centertaps.
Is this correct ?
I see the holes for elect capacitor are big, they must be snap-in ? I have some 4700uf 63v with pins from my first project.
With 42V DC , do i have to change some components from the BOM ?
I've read so much threads that i loose myself a little...and my english is a little to poor.
Many thanks for patience and help .
JF.

Thanks too, it will be very useful in my project to revamp an HMA-8300
Some questions :
1) purpose and ratings of the 0.2 resistors replacing D1 & D3 ?
(why is a simple strap not suitable ?)
2) do we still need C25->C28 el-caps if the ext PS has already a good filtering capacity ?

These questions belon more properly in the builders thread.

And I was an early wrong poster, I will ask more questions in the builders thread.
