Hi John,

Cost is $30.50, with $0.50/board donated to diyAudio. Shipping info is here.

Right now, we are working on getting the new design when Gary has time. Otherwise it will be the original.

I can put you on the waiting list with a note "New Board" beside your name 🙂

Cheers!

Haven't had a chance to touch the thing... apologies.

I've got a trade show coming up at work, so I've been working 7pm-8pm nights and weekends getting things finished - and I don't want to see anything electronic when I get home.

I'll have a go at it tonight or tomorrow night.

Hi folks,

I've received a few nags by e-mail to get this done. Unfortunately, I still have not had the time to work on it... well honestly I have, but hitting the gym and getting in a bit of skiing have been higher on my list of priorities.

On one occasion, I sat down and changed the regulators over to TO-252 versions and that's been it.

I thought about going with two oscillators, using a VHC393 to generate clock and frame sync between the SRC and DAC chips, using two dual op-amps instead of a quad, etc etc. But it's a big effort to do. Additionally, it won't be a tested design. Though I do have faith in my design skills, I don't like the idea of running dozens of copies of an untested design and screwing over a bunch of people if the board doesn't work.

The Eagle files are posted in the original thread, which is referenced in the first post of this thread. I've called the project public domain in the past - At this point, I'd say just modify the design yourselves (I know one person has, I haven't read the thread to find out who). And take the "MARSH" name off it.

Apologies.

SB,

I ended up paying $200 US for these two boards. I just want my
project done, I lost almost two month with the GB initiative.

As far as I understand, the GB was canceled because most people
that wanted a board, wanted a newer version with modifications
done by the designer, Gary Marsh.

Also I wanted the optical out as an option, which most were not
interested in. So I ended up ordering on my own with the mods
I care about.

At this point I don't really want to manage a GB. I guess everybody
is on there own with this until perhaps Gary may find time and interest
to step in and take the lead.

Ryssen,

I had posted a summary of the proposed changes, see link.
