Pavel,
I just noticed that c12,c13 are 1n 100V instead of 1n 500v (ordered in the components group buy).
Can that be the problem?
Any chance on a pre-amp for this power-amp in the same quality Pavel? Till the time beiing: What should be a good value of the potentiometer in a passive volume control? 10k, 50k, 100k ?
I added a little fan on the heatsink, just for in case that...... In a few days i will post foto's of this modification.
By the way,
How amazing that tere is so little respose on this subject.
Has nobody completed this power-amp? Can't believe it.
Come on..... share your experience and foto's here!!
Can't wait.

In this spot you will only have a couple of volts, much less than 100 volts.
Quite many of us want to build but we never start and/or finish our projects. One of my other group buys, noone started even to build. 😱wim said:How amazing that tere is so little respose on this subject.

I recommend 10k. The input impedance is 20 k.wim said:Any chance on a pre-amp for this power-amp in the same quality Pavel? Till the time beiing: What should be a good value of the potentiometer in a passive volume control? 10k, 50k, 100k?
Took me a while but finally got around to building the amp. Assembled about 90% of two amps last weekend but was missing a few parts. Ordered parts Monday from mouser, should be here by the weekend.
Once complete ill make sure to post a few pics.

Yes you are right Peranders. Its the same with me. Too much project at the same time.
Thanks for your suggestion for the value of the pot. I will use 10K as you suggested.
I still hope to hear from more builders of this amp.
It's always nice to see foto's and read comments.

I finished mine a couple of weeks ago. 🙂
They are nog playing happily in my Orion setup, powering the midrange and tweeter.
Sounds great and was easy to bulid.
I made two mistakes, found them quite easily to.
1. VR2 was grounded to my heat sink wich caused a short circuit that fried D3.
2. I didn't read the f****g manual. 😀
Thanks to Pavel and Per-Anders for putting up such a great GB.

Lovely,
Yes Pavel,
I did ask about the PCB for it, the Orions deserve something like this.
I have all the info on version 222SE but scant details on MKII.
Gorgeous piece of work as usual ....you set standards so high that you cannot slip now....hehe.
Best Regards

Thank you, guys... 😎 It is basic type of my amps, cheap and for farmers, but with very good results ( by my opinion )... 😎
What can I say, it looks marvelousUpupa Epops said:And whatabout this amp ? 😎
