Pass X250 broken VU meter

Zen has a point. Things are never simple...

I would see where the meter gets it's signal from and confirm that it is getting everything it needs to operate. Maybe try measuring the voltage from + to gnd then - to gnd and see what the difference is.

Again, probably something that Pass Labs can help with.
 
And where do you think you might get spare parts for a Pass Labs product ?
Pass Labs that make these amplifier sure won't have one or two (hundred) spare ones they could sell you.
Or would they ?
Maybe you'd better ask them just to make sure.
 
How is the meter damaged? Normal damage is a bent pointer. That can usually be repaired. In a true VU meter there is a copper oxide bridge rectifier that can fail. An actual open meter winding is rare and probably cannot be fixed.

However if the meter winding is open that indicates something else is also wrong.
