The Front End circuit of the Xs amps was designed by Wayne Colburn. It is similar to that in the XP-30 Preamplifier.
No, I don't believe this.
IMHO there is an UGS6-module inside of XP30.
May be the Xs-PreAmp has a similar circuit topology like the front end of Xs-PowerAmp
I was just informing what the link reported. Its OK which came first; the XP-30 or Amp Xs; as long as their circuits are similar.

Each of the twenty above TOSHIBA Complementary Enhancement MOSFETS MAY reside on its private small heat sinks thereon. At the center of this PCB appears to be an interesting find. There are many resistors lying in the plane of the PCB; but most importantly note those 6 upright rectangular components [ black] among them. Each rectangular component has 6 legs; clearly labeled on the PCB as G [2] and D [2] Thus each rectangular component MAY be comprised of two similar or complementary TO-92 JFETS; glued together; possibly for optimal thermal tracking and/or boosting Idss.

Also note the six tallest blue rectangular components on the PCB; taller than the trimpots. They maybe capacitors. I accidentally stumbled on their look alikes on the chipamp.com site. They were 0.1 uF polymer as shown in the LM3886 chip amp kit.
