I could be wrong, but the simplicity of the amps from the pics is as amazing as anything. Compare it to XA.5 stuff. Wow!
observe closer - main boards are in 2 floors
dunno what's exactly on none of them
OK - I'm having some ideas , but that's covering maybe 20% of real circuit
edit : just remembering mentioning of those "modulated cascodes" makes me feel a little hysteric

I too remember that comment , even if it is beyond me. That input stage is beautifuly simple and oddly familiar, you must admit.
I have a feeling that I'm on inch of grasping that thing ( mod. casc.) but it didn't snapped , yet .
maybe it never will
it is certainly in front of our noses , all the time ........ I'm just missing few critical Lego's 😛

I knew I should have gone to SR in person, duct tape that guy, and feather tickle the universe out of him.
Typical, not the simplest task can be delegated to staff personnel, you have to do everything yourself.
(Ouch, that's one hefty looking preamp, and some lytic assembly in the PS)

I got same number (72+40) , but I resume that you're little better informed than Mighty Moi

Yes, Wayne often has to debug my artwork.
We have long had a friendly competition - he lets the software debug his
art, and I insist on doing it manually (too lazy to learn software).
For a while, we were on par with error counts. Now he is winning. I think
he is secretly checking the work manually also.

I hope you're going to toss out those (inside) just-for-beauty c-bank covers , for production pieces ;
let them appreciate that hollow inside look

I think he is worried he will upset others. Perhaps put Albert Enstein pick in bottom to fill space.

Done from sons ipod touch in early morning. Forum doesnt likie apple handheld prodcuts. Never have figured out how to post pic from them. My short circuit, I am sure. It would be awesome to open a $65k amp and have Nelsons versions of pic staring you in the face.

People that can afford $65K amps pay other people to open them up...😎
