If you look at for instance at the SN measurement ranking with other HPAs, many much cheaper, that's simply not the case.

not really...I never even seen a PL product , but I saw one specific revue of a PL expensive amp that avoided at all cost to tell the amp's power in 4 ohms while another publication showed it was below the specs.

just want to point out that “subjective” conclusion and remarks of JA about speakers (only thing I pay attention) are always somewhat positive even if measurements are clearly bad. He finds some positive things to say:”glass half-full”
