challenge
OK,
all you folks out there!
Lets work on it that Nelson´s really challenged to top.
As he states that fairness is not necessary (which I personally
like. Fairness is something for Golfcourses and often not even
there
) we do teamwork and he is alone.

A fly on the wall
This looks like it's going to be fun to watch. If I wasn't so far away I'd offer to help. If you can think of anything that you may need ASK!!!!
Nelson needs a little competition.
Mark😉 😉

dc-servo
Does anybody mind having some kind of dc-servo in the circuit?
When I was younger and did my first homegrown preamp
with audiophile approach I cap-coupled the output (first
quality PP caps).
I later tweaked that pre to dc-servo instead of those caps
and was fascinated by the quantumjump in soundquality.
Is it allowed to mix up a Pass design with opamp servo circuitry?
Uli

Promise: the board will be at least 11" long

From the peanut gallery
Realising that a servo will require active devices ( trannies if you follow the rest of your circuit) and that a cap is simpler. Why not make it possible for the difference to be tried. Both. Let the user find out the differences.

Interesting, not often we see any of your masterpieces.Fred Dieckmann said:I found a blurry picture of my 4th order L-R two way crossover with all mosfet source followers and current sources. I think I built
it early this year but I might be mistaken. It was awhile back at any rate.
Your right Peranders,
Its not often we see a masterpiece from Fred,
Apparently he has an eye for craftsmanship and engineering excellence.

Suden inspirations
Uli has the idea of diffraction loss compensation crossed your mind??? Not that you have to design it in. But is the crossover you are designing mother board daughter board type idea that would allow the insertion of such a module. Then again the proper variable Q setting would provide almost the same thing.
To many ideas and not enough time.

Mark,
That is a very interesting topic.
In an earlier link to the L R site there is some great reading on diffraction effects and I expect those with dipoles in particular would benefit from this feature.
Another area for compensation is room boundary loading.

Re: SK and customers dreams
Hi folks,
A liitle disappointing answer at this time but all those nice little
gizmo features would blow the frame of this Sallen Key
implementation.
For baffle compensation you would need the electronic equivalent
of a LR combination.
Room compensation:
Maybe Mr. Pass will do a 5 band full parametric equalizer with
delay adjustments all in single ended class A somewhere in the
future 🙂devilr: 😀 😉 )
For my part I tend to live with room loading as natural instruments
played live in this particular room are loaded in the same way.

Actually, since the MOX was posted over in Solid State, and
the basic circuit is virtually identical to the XVR1, and he has
made board artwork available, I figured that the pressure
should be off, and so I back-burnered it again. It will come out,
but not until I think of something better than I had.

I know it will amuse you to know that I have 6 pigs (among other
animals) and they often wake me up in the morning rooting
around outside my window. Never thought I'd develop affection
for pigs.

Heh. That's par for the course. What other tasty tidbits are there to know? I've never imagined The One and Only to be in cahoots with ol' MacDonald.
