At least I need to use NPN power amp (D44H11) and PNP power amp (D45H11)
The toshibas should be even better.... but I do not recall their "names" someone ?
I use 2SA1930 for PNP and 2SC5171 for NPN, (as Salas did). They come in an isolated case, and make your life easier on the heatsink assembly 😉
Would love to hear that yamaha after all this years.
You would be most welcome should you find yourself visiting the UK (drop me a PM).
Those are the Toshiba devices i used too.
Joachim I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the XO for the Yamahas as I run a set too. I wasted tempted by Troels design but I want to keep the trim pots as I use them for late night listening.

I see it, I'm to late 🙂
These are the most important/relevant messages regarding PSU and Pre-Reg.

sq, that is hard to say.
With the trimpots the impedance is different and so will be the crossover. The only way would be to measure the actual speaker.
I am sometimes in England and could bring my equipment.
I have everything on a laptop so i can cary it around.

In theory the trim pots are for an 8ohm impedance but in reality they alter the impedance as they are adjusted.
I have the details of Troels crossover and it can be implemented by retaining the standard pots if required (he uses two resistors to emulate them just as I have).
Both sq and I live in Sheffield (UK) - not far from each other.

Definitely not UK Stella.
Where I live there is quite a small brewing company called Thornbridge and they do an excellent range of draught and keg. My preference is for Trappist type beers and porters.

When driving to the UK I pass through Belgium, it is easy to collect some 'Trappistes Rochefort #10' 🙂 Rochefort Trappistes 10 - 100 at RateBeer When I then arrive in the UK, it then (most probably) will be the best beer in the UK 🙂

They sell that at the local pub. It's ok, but this is better.
NO NO NO! now you are wrong 🙂
Frans: Why go to belgium when you have De Molen in Bodegraven, they have alot of great beer. Although the best breweries according to me is alot of American Microbrewers (HOPS!) and Mikkeller from Denmark. There are alot of great breweries these days! 🙂
By the way De Struise Brouwers, are my favorite Belgian beer.
Anyway, enough with the beers and more paradise ;-)

Your right 🙂 but it started here http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/analogue-source/218625-paradise-builders-254.html#post3554975 🙂 so I assumed that going to the UK was part of the deal.
