They sure are purty... some of those on my FE103As would sure be nice (i was going to make some wooden ones). If you decide you'd like to try a run for sale, i'd be interested.

The inside of the voice coil is 20 mm, so with some clearance 18-19 mm diameter, and the top of the voice coil to the edge of the cone is 25mm so that would define a maximum length.

Looking nice!
Dumb question - are phase plugs hollow, or are they stationary? Hopefully, I can fire up my seas Thor this weekend and find out myself 😀

Ah! That's what I'd been thinking - I first typed "how did you ever get them light enough ... " thenWhich is good because they are really heavy.

By the way, the speakers look really nice. Can't wait to hear what they sound like.
On the mounting of the tweeters, it looks like they are a bit 'inside' as they are on the backside of the oak - will you have some difraction effects, or will the routed hole act as a very very small horn?

That is a little less than 16mm, probably not close enuff to make it worth you going thru a storm of copper... 😀 Thanx vry much for the offer thou.

On the ones we are using we mount them from behind with a conical waveguide. Helps them go down a bit further and match the dispersion of the midbasses closer at the XO.

I took Variac's advice and thinned the baffle edges as much as possible without a shaper. Thanks Dave!
The top still needs to be shaped and installed, the phase plugs need to be put in, the base needs to be asembled, and all the adjustments still need to be done.

I took Jim Griffin's advice and rounded over the inner baffle.
Wow, that's an excellent idea, and I've already glued my front on my speakers 🙁
Looking good ...
Not yet, my Thor's still look pretty rude. I've been out of town, but I should be able to post something in a couple of weeks.
I'm also putting off attaching the bottom of the speakers; I want a solid seal (glue) but keep thinking I'll need to fiddle with the stuffing (screws and gasket). I can get to it through the speaker cut outs though so I'm just going to glue.
