I see what you're referring to, but it's subtle. I doubt anyone would notice without you pointing it out. I don't know what your woodworking experience is, but your cabinets turned out exceptionally well. The crossover box looks well done also.
Because of the difficulty correcting errors, I've been thinking about a thicker veneer or maybe 1/4 inch staves (and then beveling baffle sides and top/bottom back in) to allow for sanding if needed. I'm hoping the black-baffle, glue-on approach will simply things. I found black through-color mdf. locally to avoid painting.
Sounds like Maximax77 is in the pipe also. Will be fun to see several of these drop in the same time frame. (Thanks to both of you for finishing ideas.)

Quick update, OSMCs are finished! I learned so much with this project and could not be happier with the end result! I consider myself a fledgling noob in this hobby still but thought my Klipsch Heresy 1’s (modded) were great sounding speakers.. Well, my experience after listening to only 1 Monkey Coffin was the same as pFarrells “Holy ****!”.. Incredible.. I’m not sure how to describe but they sound so full, and complete.
Few folks that I’m so grateful for their answering of my endless questions.. @mbrennwa.. Can’t thank you enough for all of your hard work on this project, and for answering my questions.. esp regarding crossover selections. @pfarrell.. as always.. Thanks for ALL of your help in this hobby.. Patrick stopped by the day I finished the first one and got to listen, so glad you could stop by! @6L6 also.. Such a help in all things DIYAudio. @Sorenm .. You were a huge help as well, and don’t know if I’d have tried to tackle this without all of your photos and discussion!
Thanks all, hope to be able to help the best group to build these amazing speakers!

Great work @SkyPirate ! I hope those darts don't fly close to the speakers 🙂
What amps do you use with your OSMCs?

Wow! You are a skilled artisan! Dig the SpeakOn umbilical from the separate crossover box - nice touch! Can’t wait to read your subjective review on these!
Great work!

Matthias! Rest assured there was no dart activity during the Monkey Coffins short stay in that spot before being relocated.. lol.. As far as amps.. The power amp that I’m using for now is M2X with Norwood boards. I have built a handful of other daughter boards but will start with Norwood. Pre amp.. long story.. I’ve only built one proper preamp, SALAS DCG3, and ultimately want it to stay with myAleph J in my office/man cave. I had planned to use a commercial pre/dac/streamer in tandem with the M2X but I can hear a large difference with that box vs my Salas. So I’m going to build an Iron Pre balanced version with muse volume to go with monkey coffins and the M2x. I assumed I’d come to this conclusion..Great work @SkyPirate ! Anand.. you’re too kind. Thanks for the kind words but I got lucky, and had a lot of help! None of my final project came from me! Speakon cables were funny.. first two I made were too short to connect.. learning! Will def continue to listen and add to my thoughts!
Zman01.. Also, very kind, thanks for the kind words!
