Thanks for the reply EBA. I remember L'Audiphile designs using oak plywood (not oak veneered plywood). In my case 19mm MDF with extensive bracing is more likely. The lokal Bauhaus market are selling steel beams at a resonable price and dimention I might use this as braces in the openings...

MDF have a good density. But his longitudinal and transverse stiffness is very very low and his sound is poor.

that is the PB.

The best for ONKEN is PERMAWOOD plywood of ROCHLING.
