On the end road I still managed to get a nice bass upgrade. I need to get at least one more, four would be better. When you get an SPL you like with no audible distortion its like, wow theres no words lol
The wedge is under half a foot. It plays very low, and super fast and snappy. I am almost happy with it as is. I'll try .75 including braces and woofer. x 4. If I can find three more discontinued titanics.
I finally made a terminal plate for it. The epoxy attempt turned out kind of ugly lol.

I have two drive core crown xls1002 amps, I don't have to over push them, there quite powerful, I can simply wire 350 watts from each channel in stereo to a single 4ohm voice coil. The crossover cuts them off at 100 hz.
Yeah, when I was 17 car audio was exploding, and I got in as cheap as possible with a ghetto system, a couple of 12's were part of that. It was loud. Then I gained some self-awareness, and I've never had anything other than stock in my car since.
Funny, when I was young, and with not a lot of money, I built a pair of "Chili Can Speakers".
I got a hold of a pair of them big, "gallon" sized empty cans of chili con carne. Then I reinforced the bottom with a round of plywood and cut a hole so I could mount 6" Pioneer coaxial car speakers. I then stuffed the cavities with... felt stuff... left the back (original can top) opened and mounted them under the front dash.
They sounded pretty good...
As long as you make a controlled air tight space for it and decent control of diffusion. With subs its far less critical anyway.
I always had a way of observing everything then ideas branch off. Addmittingly the bucket idea is a rip off but its the first time I seen one made with cookware lol. It functions well thats the main thing. Propped up on the feet you would never suspect it.

You mean entirely? Its pretty modest atm a mixture of sealed 8 and 10", a wired 4 sound DAC2, the basic model with built preamp, and a backup PS nuwave, . Bryston 3bst. I made a big mistake of letting go of my last two channel. Then the crowns, initially was unaware they came out of Magrigal. That is the parent company of a bunch of new and old brands like HK JBL ML, a whole bunch now including Crown. First ones to produce real monaural amplifiers. To say invent can be a touchy claim, but they were making them, and to this day. I always had good things to say about there produ ts. Oh and a new to me line level booster. I thought they were some kind of dorky dodad like some of the 80 equalizers, but its legit and works and needed.with the 4 wedge subs, what is that supporting? what is the rest of the system?
I had four sealed 8 inch rigged up, it was incredible. Now there are a couple of each sizes, in transition. Subwoofers make bliss your ears with two or more tuned in, with decent acoustics. When you get up to several it can be a rush. In an + configuration as I had it. I am going .26 larger per cabinet. It would be easier to buy them 😵
At least I know the direction I'm heading towards. Mostly just involved. Stay tuned.
