MAY is the important word here 🙂
I'll get back to everyone when I know the total cost.

kmj,
I, too, am interested in your offer. I hope the bank cost on Veteran's end is as reasonable as on your end.

I have done Western Union transfers (quite some time ago) but I believe their fees are a bit high as well (if I remember correctly)

Many thanks,
SteveA

Hopefully I'm still in time for this GB...but being in the US (Michigan), do we know how that's being dealt with at the moment? I would only be interested in one set of the gold plated PCBs (that's a dual mono set, right?)

I'll try to check back often, in case something has been finalized for those of us in the States...paypal's awaiting.

Yanks, Canadians and other parties.
My transfer to Veteran just got confirmed and as far there's only one glitch that can easilly be taken care of.

My bank charged about 1,5$ as they said but to make sure that veteran recieved the entire sum and didn't have to pay some fee to HIS bank for the transfer my bank took an extra 13$ to "make sure". Even if Veterans didn't charge him anything they still kept that sum.

So to keep their hands of my money, Veteran will check directly with his bank to make sure that they don't charge anything, then we (I) can neglect the alternative that costs money.

Did I loose anyone there? 😀

SO!
When I hear back from Veteran about that charge I'll be glad to help out. There's just one more thing:
The transfer has to be in Euros to be free of charge. So when we start to transfer funds, be sure to change your settings in Paypal so that I don't get to pay the exchangefee.

And of course. Do not start to send money untill we say it's ok.

Edit:
And you don't need to send me an Email or reply that you are intrested in this thread, i'll get back to you here as soon as I get something solid 🙂

I *think* I'm with you here...but is it pretty easy to change currencies in paypal in order to avoid those fees? I've never done so before, but would gladly try if we can get some orders going.

Also, I'm a relatively n00b and newcomer to the Aleph's, does anybody have a thread or website that has good detailed information on the particular (or something close) boards/pieces we're building?

We decided with KMJ to make possible sending money by PayPal using his account. This should be more useful for US and international orders (in Europe bank transfers are quite cheap).

Another thing - my bank doesn't take any percentage from transfers.

There is no group buy for WM8816 STAMP volume control boards - this is just my prototype 😉 I will use it AP1.7 instead of relays.

Tin plated boards for AP1.7 are ready! Just waiting for gold plated to get them all from factory in one package. Another good information - there will be more of tin plated sets than I expected 😉

I don't have confirmations from some of You so I will just have to delete You form the list after a week of waiting - this will make some place for other users interested in this project. Sorry.
