1/8 watt resistors ok?

I'm trying to put together my parts order from newarkinone.ca to avoid delay/expense due to cross-border duty/shipping - they have somewhat limited selection of values for Vishay-Dale CMF-55, 60 resistors and I would like to ask if 1/8W is acceptable for the signal boards.

Thanks for any help

Does anybody has an extra set of Aleph P 1.7 PCB? I want to buy one. I've tried sending many e-mails to Veteran but no luck, maybe he is too busy. I am following this thread and how I wish I can join you guys to finish this project. I want to build this for my krell KSA50 clone which sounds fantastic.

Cheers

Hey Guys!
I have a question. I got an Elma 24 position attanuator and have to put it in my P1.7. I want to configurate it with resistors. Is there a manual how to do this? And when I want to use it in my speaker system with actif crossover, is 5Kohm enough? Thanks for the answer! Grtz Teake

Hi erveryone,

I guess all your P 1.7 projects get along very well.

I have been working different attenuator options. Using the ELMA 24 pos switch with Welwyn resistors, one with Vishay CMF 55-143 resistors and one with Holco´s sounded very nice.

Then i used a relais-unit with Vishays...very nice as well but a lot more trouble to go through as with the ELMA swith.

I am now working with a 4gang conductive plastic attenuator distributed by THEL (www.thel.de) in Germany. Not quite a bargain either (around EURO 180) but absolutely great in sound. It will soon be available with motor as well for all the remote control freaks among us.

I have not spoken to Mr. Hartwig yet but maybe we could come to some arrangement if we logg together a dozen pods or so...

Any other suggestions...?

Cheers
