Well, it would for one specific frequency.. after that , it would be...upwards and onwards...
Then I thought...If bending wave velocity is dependent on stiffness (thickness), then a very thin membrane would spawn sub-sonic...(evanescent) waves...(in-audible). i.e., "cone-break-up" becomes...moot. And, by thumb-nail... damping would would be quite good, along w/ high-freq. transduction...
....and? OK, we've narrowed the cone angle, thinned the membrane (insane within, natch), gone subsonic, nearly catatonic, damped the dampers down, tied the kangaroo (down, sport), gone moot and nearly mute...

Miserable at reproduction, however. Good at slaying an audience. It'd be funny to hear a group of them a cappella, but I'd prefer it'd on a cd, dvd, or a download. They tend to be pretty aggressive performing live.

*S* Appreciate the vote...I'm looking forward to the V.4's, as I think I can improve the breed significantly. Both in essence and in appearance...a doable goal, MHO.
