We guys (because sadly, few women appear on audio boards) too commonly think about safety issues framed as *our* safety, but that's wrong. Nobody gives a flying flip about your skunky butt or mine. We'd just get a Darwin Award and a chuckle.
Safety has to be taken to the level that we each believe is enough for our child, or grandchild, or pet. That's a much higher standard.
YOS,
Chris

Back then, kids were taught not to use any plug in device that could reach a bathtub.
And to be extremely carful when using those devices near a sink, either.
And a good parent does not leave a loaded gun lying around.
Nor an empty one that can be easily found and picked up.
Now, kids are taught safe sex, and blah, blah, blah.
Personal responsibility begins with the parents, who are responsible to teach their kids.
Irresponsible parents teach their kids to be irresponsible.
Rely on the schools to do that teaching, and see what we are getting now.
