Ok I've been listening to these for a little bit and subjectively speaking, with some eq on the 18 and none on the 12 I already find the lows and mid bass to sound really appealing. Plenty deep and very nice quality. The mids are excellent but I find the tonal balance to tilt a bit high for me. And it can get shouty up high.
So...I'm thinking more baffle on the mids adds a sense of "weight" while being more difficult for off axis response.
Not sure where to go from here.
I'll connect my super tweeters and cross at 8k and see how that feels.
Perhaps try something like the neo3 and play with lower crossovers.
Perhaps try a more conventional rectangular baffle.
I should probably measure...

Make baffle for 18" bigger and baffle for 12" smaller. This allows to filter 12" higher and 18" lower. Currently dipole peaks and minimums of both are very close and they play same range acoustically.
