Please Jokener - answer my repeated questions. Are you waiting for blue cases?? Would you/can you just ship with all black? I need my parts on the way.
This one?: decware.com/newsite/zkit3.htm
How is a single 9v batteri able to properly power "difficult" head phones like the DT-770 600 ohm?
That's the one.
How it can drive "difficult headphones"? I don't now what to say other than what I previously said: it does it very well when connected to an 80 Ohm Beyer Dynamic DT-770 and an Ipod Classic (using line-out). I have no experience with the 600 Ohm model.
The crossfeed option on the Zen Head is very nice.
Fair enough. I never saw the Zenhead kit before but it looks nice. I have the dt-770 600 ohms and they do require a rather "poweful" amp to perform. Still considering trying the O2 once Jokener is back in business. 🙂

Have a look at the schematic: http://www.decware.com/newsite/zenheadrev6.pdf
If you take out the optional stuff (i.e. fixed input and output impedances, etc.) here are not that many parts. Might be worth trying on a breadboard?
I had a look at the datasheet for the -ve version, and noted the advice, but they gave no narrative. Must The cap be that value? Just curious that they don't describe the condition and why that value, or for that matter why not add the cap to the internal of the reg as every example they gave required it. It might have one of those, " oh bugger" moments post production.
Tony
Whoops, I hadn't circled back to the thread for a few days. No, that cap could be lower values, just as long as the regulator doesn't self-oscillate. For the vast majority of the builds that 0.22uF cap in the intial BOM should work fine. Where it would probably come up the most is out-of-spec regulators. Production rejects sold on eBay, etc.
@MisterRogers: Your shipment is packed (black/blue) and will be shipped tomorrow.
My iPad is having difficulties with uploading the PDF, I'll try again when I'm waiting in line at the post office...

Hey Jokener - Is it still possible to purchase stuff? At a minimum I would like a parts kit with pcb, but also a black housing would be awesome and the wall charger
Kind bump🙂I will take care of your parts this week!
The shipping cost is on me, because of the delay.
Best regards,
Jokener
Hi Jokener, I am still waiting for the promised PCBs a few weeks ago. Are hey shipped? Thank you
Hello Jokener,
I am wondering if you have received my payment, since it's been 9 days already and I still see my name in red in the order status.
Please let me know if there is a problem.
