I am engaged politically and locally with my comrades in the Leftist party (ex-communist party in Sweden).
When my friends, I prefer to use the word friends (also used by the Association of Friends), listen to progressive music I do it too, but as their favourite artists are Swedish artists and groups singing from the barricades about imperialism and corporate owners, bankirs and corrupt politicians, I listen to King Crimson, Yes, Marillion and Renaissance. That is PROGRESSIVE music to me.

haha ok thanks for informing, I am quite neutral when it comes to politics, that is I am not a fan boy with an urge to belong to any party, ie. group belonging, though I can find political science interesting, all the -ism's and the figures behind the curtain pulling the strings you know... 😎🙂
oh, if anything, I find the Swiss direct democracy model interesting.
btw I did recently listen a bit to Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Ivan Rebroff, but keep up the good work and bring us more music from Russia etc. as I am after all not too familiar with their music.

What a great sound! Nothing like a real double bass to twist your insides just so.

She still need to practise a lot, but the sound of the d bass is indeed special.
Too early to talk about favourite artists.
My son favourites (on a violin) are Irish traditional... Good to practise speed.

My wife encourages (insists) the kids to play an instrument. My son plays piano and violin. My daughter started with piano and violin as well but rebeled. But still had to play something. She could choose. For some reason she chose d bass.
Got two kids that learned to play the violin. My youngest son then learned to play a other instruments like the guitar and keyboards.
I am fiddling with a Noise Toaster to give to my grandson (his father is the third kid and he's not musical at all) hoping he will grow an interest in music. A Loog guitar would have been great but too expensive for me.
