I was inspired by the mention of the Del-Tones- whom I had never heard of - to go on a frenzy of checking Australia's very own Delltones, who go right back to 1958, and are still around! Salyu (Ayako Mori) began her singing career as a result of having pneumonia. Her doctor recommended either swimming or singing to aid her breathing. I'm glad she didn't take to the water.
