These two were the last ones on my record player...

Now Future Flora, the new album of the belgian ethioazzband "Black Flower" is playing. They play a mix of european jazz and folkmusic from arround the world, and that in a very groove version of it. They are getting very popular fast and with reason...

Before that it was the "Java" album of the also Belgian musician "Dijf Sanders", wich is also a kind of ethiojazz based on music he recorded on his trip in Java a few years ago. Dijf Sanders is more known for his weird electronic music and the kind of absurd flemish folk he made with his band called "the Violent Husbands" but here he goes in a total different direction. And many of the musicians he used are member of Black Flower.

Both are must haves if you like the actual european jazz.
