Ah yes Gardot, I have that and 'My One And Only Thrill'. When I first saw her sing I was very impressed by the slow and controlled way she delivered her performance. Easier said than done.
Is that the album with the 'Live in Paris' extra CD? Great recording that........very fresh and intimate.
She is a very interesting character.........and quite 'hot' in a kooky kind of way.

I think there were a number of different issues of it, there seemed to be a period of "let's try and milk this for all it's worth". Mine is single disc from 2009. Yes, very good recordings. Music was a real therapy for her, which I kinda like
Not to mention Kategori Bush, Tori Amos. Laurie Anderson have I heart about not yet listened to.
Else have a bunch of Russian favorite ladies (nice voices but music too schlager-ish).
Sonja Kristina of Curved Air and Annie Haslam of Renaissance are also favorites.
