M.P.D. Limited - Legendary GO!! Recordings ... very gutsy, mid 60's Aussie pop - killer versions of some classic tracks, like Lonely Boy.
What's noteworthy is that the recording quality is atrocious, cymbals are barely distant from white noise, the tapes must have severely deteriorated, and no attempt has been made to clean them up - or the transfer chain was in terrible shape ...
IOW, ideal for listening for system flaws! ... 😀

As a followup on the M.P.D. disk, the claim is that all tracks are from the original master tapes, with the exception of, half apologetically, the last one. Which is obviously derived from a vinyl source - and guess which one is dramatically better than the others, with decent detail and clarity to the sound, not badly blurred as the others are - you have to wonder at times about studio ears ...
Guitar Wolf - the only problem being that Mr Wolf likes his CD's to be recorded VERY VERY VERY loud so I am having to adjust my DAC to get a half decent sound on some tracks because of the clipping.
Cliff Richard & The Shadows - Reunited ... recorded 2009, 50th anniversary get together; beautifully captured the original sound - Peter Pan's done it again!
And, back on the Aldi, Blu-ray and TV combo - on my wife's insistence ... 😀! Not too bad - I had let everything lapse in terms of the little tweaks - so, orders have been given, to get the standard back up to what it was before, without too many obvious bits and pieces around the place ... 😉.

Bob - do you notice any difference in flow of Saturday vs Sunday evening's set lists?
I sometimes find Saturday a bit more raucous - or maybe it's just the vodka talking 😀

Call of the Mystic - Karunesh (wife's meditation playlist - actually very relaxing during the evenings yoga session - sometimes I get all the way through one track 😉)
Just listened to my 45 of Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl. (Bang label)

On the PC - this is the sort of music where string tone has to be reasonable, otherwise listening is hard work. Not too bad, plenty of depth, nicely recorded ...

Kathleen Battle, Mozart Arias - Previn, RPO.
This is showing how sensitive the PC currently is to interference effects; I have to take every extra step to minimise these, for optimum playback - very audible degradation if I skip one of the measures I can take ...
