I thought I would make the newly tweaked PC speakers really work for their living, 😀 - so, Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, at a volume that pushed the tiny PS to the limit, 🙂.

And they do a remarkably good job - the melodic guitar sections come through very nicely, and the full-on thrash bits cause PS sag compression which is quite reasonable, all considering - easily better than your average, active studio moniter ... 😛

The Stones and Lynard Skynard whilst sat in a hospital ward, got a cracking score on me blood pressure tests this morning, beat me highest score to date by far 🙂 The Doc wasn't too happy and sent me over to emergency ward. Long wait for blood tests 🙁

Text to ask the wife if it is ok to do your last will on an iPhone coz I need to decide which of the girls gets me LP's, she wasn't happy 🙂

Respighi, Roman Festivals & Prokofiev, Cinderella Suite - BBC music CD, live recordings - something bizarre with the first piece, it triggered a malfunction with the PC playback system; otherwise, very nice indeed ...

Then, the muses' gift - The Renaissance Players with Winsome Evans ... a very Australian, Sydney uni tradition, 🙂 - authentic instruments playing olde worlde songs, etc.

Another round of CDs from the library - an EEC rip off of Howlin' Wolf material, transcribed from records, still very worthwhile - and Sam Butera, Hot New Orleans Nights - Bear Family Records, one of those great labels with really fascinating, unknown "other" artists on it; early 50's tracks, tremendous, bitey sax ...
