Schwarzkopf Sings Pamina in Der Zauberflote, von Karajan - on the PC, from 78s in '53. Quite a bit of 78 rotational bad patch "distortion" at the beginning, but they haven't tried to fix it - which is a good thing! Nice sense of air, depth - crescendos not too bad ...

Quite interesting to hear how they didn't worry about removing all the extraneous noises back then, the technology just made such luxuries completely out of the question - constant noises of stands being knocked, or feet shifting, stage bits and pieces bumped - in the quiet moments there is quite a cacophany of such sounds !!

I recently got Billy's "Greatest Hits Volume 1&2 "
It's a two CD set.
Actually, the CDs sound very good with an excellent CD mastering.

It's amazing how many great songs he wrote and recorded.
