Notre Dame cathedral

Of no nutritional value and containing high levels of anti-nutrients such as sugar, glucose syrup and heated vegetable fat, a deep fried Mars bar is a yummy stereotype of the Scottish diet!

I love haggis!
Sadly, being from south of the border, you may only have tasted the farmed variety of haggis.

The good news up here is that the annual cull of wild Haggii Scoticus Vulgaris was very successful due to the warm temperatures at the beginning of the year.

During an extreme winter, the haggs and their hagglets seek shelter in their burrows under the snow where their thick, subcutaneous fat layer keeps them warm.

In such extreme winter conditions, it is impossible to drive the wild haggii towards the strategically placed capture nets, leading to disappointment at Burns Suppers and the sad sight of burly, kilted Scotsmen (and women!) weeping into their Whyte & MacKays!
